Since 2009, the Urban Pyrethroid Stewardship has been promoting the Apply Responsibly awareness campaign. The effort includes outreach to gardeners, homeowners and other consumers in urban areas via traditional and online advertising, as well as through the mainstream press, radio and television.
Advertising Campaign
“Be a California Gardening Hero” is the theme promoting the goals of Apply Responsibly in 2011. The campaign includes three major advertising components, with an emphasis on California gardeners, especially those living in California’s urban areas.
In addition to a new strategic online advertising effort, this year’s campaign again features underwriting of California Public Radio. To listen to a clip, please click here
For the third consecutive year, the Urban Pyrethroid Stewardship is also funding an advertising campaign with Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) intended to reach millions of Bay Area residents. To see the train poster, please click the thumbnail below.
